After a long discussion, the jury decided whom to assign the prizes !
We apologize for the delay, nonetheless, we think that since there is no travel involved and no further expense for the finalist, it was much better to vote and discuss with the necessary calm than to respect the deadlines at any cost.
For the category “SINGERS” the prize goes to the soprano Julia Muzychenko from Russia.
Julia graduated at Saint Petersburg State Conservatory, attended the Young Artists Program of the Bolshoi Theatre in Russia and today is part of Junges Ensemble Semperoper Dresden, a group of singers where many of today’s top artists began their professional career. She won already prizes in competitions such as Eva Marton in Hungary, Voci Verdiane in Italy, Crescendo in the United States of America etc.
Julia wins a prize of €500 and her videos will be sent to the major opera houses in Europe by Cadenza Music Management.
For the category “SOLOISTS” the prize goes ex-aequo to the clarinetist Lucas Ferreira dos Santos from Brazil and the violinist Maya Levy from Ukraine
Lucas is a graduate of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra Music Academy and Was awarded in national and international competitions and festivals.
He performed as a soloist and as a chamber player in Brazil, USA and Europe, with orchestra such as São Paulo Symphony Orchestra, Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra of the Americas among others and in festivals such as Camerino Chamber Music Festival in Italy, European Clarinet Festival, Campos dos Jordão International Winter Festival and many others.
Maya has been awarded at ‘Médias Francophones Publics 2020’, Manhattan International Music Competition and Karol Szymanowski Competition among others.
She performed with orchestras such as Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie performing in venues such as the NOSPR Concert Hall in Poland, Teatro dell Aquila in Italy, Royal Theater of La Monnaie, Philharmonie in Liège, Tchaikosvky Conservatory in Moscow and Recanati Hall in Tel Aviv.
Maya is a regular guest at festivals in Europe, Russia and Israel, she plays on a Guarneri violin of 1702.
Lucas and Maya receive €500 each as a prize and Cadenza Music Management will recommend them to the major concert institutions in Europe.
For the category “ENSEMBLES” the prize goes to Al-Ándalus Clarinet Quartet from Spain.
Composed by Carlos Caballero Moreno, Francisco De Paula Garcia Marquez, Christian Yoshiaki Okawara Lopez and Sergio Diaz Sanchez, Al-Ándalus Clarinet Quartet was created in 2018 under the concern of four young musicians from different parts of the Spain south region of Andalusia who graduated together at the Conservatorio Superior Manuel Castillo of Seville.
In 2019, the quartet won the First Prize in the VIII International Clarinet Quartets Competition “Clarinetíssim” held Alicante and was selected to participate in the 94th edition of the Juventudes Musicales de España Competition and got the special mention at “MálagaCrea 2019” competition and First Prize in the I National Chamber Music Competition “Abate Marchena” and at the III Chamber Music Competition
“Ciudad de Lepe” as well.
They receive a prize of €1000 and Cadenza Music Management will recommend them as well to the major concert institutions in Europe.
A SPECIAL PRIZE by the Beethoven Society for Music and Research in Vienna, has been assigned to the violinist Evgeniia Avdeeva from Ukraine.
Evgeniia, 13 year old, is a student at Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and has already received awards in many competitions in Ukraine and Russia and made her debut as a soloist with orchestra in Ukraine with Kviv Kamerata and the Model Orchestra of the Armed Forces.
She receives a scholarship of €500 and an official diploma.
As stated by the jury, the Grand Prize of €2500 will be shared between the awarded participants.
No prize was assigned for the category “SENIOR” and the organization decided to refund the participants to this category.

China, Italy, South Korea, Poland, Spain, the United States of America.
We are really astonished by the high level of these musicians and we are extremely happy that we crossed the borders of 5 continents with the first edition of Cadenza Contest.
